Mascot statue material

Sorry to ask a question that is technically not about grammar or vocabulary, but I've googled this already and I don't know where else to ask. What material is a fast-food mascot statue usually made of? Plaster?

If you prefer, you could send me a message directly instead of in this forum.

Thanks for any help,

Hi,

What material is a fast-food mascot statue usually made of? Plaster?

I'm not even sure what that is. You mean like Ronald MacDonald? Big, or small like a toy?

Anyway, such things are very often made of plastic, I think.

Hi Clive,

The big one, Ronald McDonald standing outside each of his outlets. Maybe "statue of a fast-food mascot" is clearer. Any other way to say it?

Thanks.

Hi,

Part of my lack of understanding is that I don't think they have these outside such places in N. America.

Can't remember seeing one.

Anyway, probably plastic, I'd guess.

Oh I see. Where I live the two biggest fast-food chains, including McDonald's, have a statue of their main mascot standing by the door. Or sometimes just inside the door or by the counter.

You can see one here (but this is in Singapore):

Hi,

Maybe they have them here. I just don't remember.

I thnk I read that MacDonald's here is using Ronald less in their advertising. They are trying to appeal more to adults.

Looks like plastic.

This is quite delayed, but still, thanks, Clive.
