"Mark? I thought Bill was in charge

Hello.

Is the following grammatically correct?

"Mark? I thought Bill was in charge. Wait... you agreed about filming Kevin, and keep performing as the "ghost"?"

Thanks.

I read this as someone being surprised that Mark was in charge as they expected Bill to be. Then, the person who is speaking suggests that the person being talked to agreed that Kevin should be filmed. '

The final element is ambiguous for me; I would certainly be unsure about who is the 'ghost' (single inverted commas, in preference) and if it were the person being spoken to who was the 'ghos
