Many various types of flowers

Usually, I hear people say something like

(1) There are many different types of flowers in your garden.

Is it OK to replace "different" by "various" in the sentence below?

(2) There are many various types of flowers in your garden.

Thanks for your help.

No, you cannot say "many various". If you delete "many" then (2) is OK. My preference is for "types of flower" rather than "types of flowers", but you will see both used.
