Essay & Composition Writing

Many university students choose to live with their families, while others live away from home because their universities are in different places. what are the advantages and disadvantages both situations.

In today’s society, a range of undergraduates opt for living with their families, whereas some live far away from home. In this essay I will analyze both sides of these two options.

On the one hand, it is irrefutable that living with families brings students with a myriad of merits. Indeed, undergraduates are able to minimize expenditure on their cost of living such as electricity bills and accommodation rents. That youngsters can set aside their financial worries will definitely enable them to focus solely on their studies so as to improve their performances at institutions. However, students staying with families would face strict supervision as well as bindings. In fact, families often require young people to live by norms and rules set by their parents, which makes them restricting and frustrating at times.

On the other hand, there are a range of advantages while living far away from parents. One compelling point is that by staying on their own, students can possess a lifetime experience; therefore, they could learn a variety of invaluable lessons from real life. As a result, the undergraduates living alone obviously know how to tolerate and overcome difficult times, which actually assists them in their future career. By contrast, living in a strange land without parents also has some limitations. It is true that when staying away from parents, the young probably have to shoulder more duties and responsibilities. For instance, not only do students need to secure their academic results but they also balance their budgets thoroughly. That totally makes pupils more susceptible to the illness related to stress.

In conclusion, while a school of thought holds that students are in favor of living with families over staying on their own, I believe that each method has its own benefits and drawbacks; therefore, selecting which one depends on students.
