"Many times messy"

Hi, I have a question regarding the following sentence:

"As your web apps grow bigger, the CSS becomes big, redundant and many times messy."

What's the meaning of the phrase "many times messy"? Shouldn't it be "many times as messy" or "many times messier"?

Thanks in advanced!
