Many subjects with one object each -- number agreement

Hi, how do we agree the number in sentences where plural subjects do something with a single object each, e.g.:

"All applicants who have submitted a bid ..." or

"All applicants who have submitted bids ..."?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, Both versions are OK. In both cases, if you wish to make clear that each applicant can only submit one bid, you need to state that more specifically, eg by adding another sentence.
