Many stars are in the sky.

I'd be happy if someone would answer my questions. Thanks in advance.

Are the following 2 sentences correct? If so, what's the difference?

A: Many stars are in the sky.

B: There are many stars in the sky.

I feel A is a little bit strange.

Both are fine. The first sounds a little unusual because we more often use the second-- existential `there` moves the stress to later in the sentence, which is where we usually like it.
