Many people may work from home using modern technology today. Some people think that only the workers benefit from this and not the employers. Do you agree or disagree?

In this day and age, people tend to work at home by using advanced devices rather than going to the company. One school of thought argues that this method is only beneficial for workers, not employers. From my perspective, I strongly opine this viewpoint for the following reasons.

On the one hand, it is apparent that working at home helps staff balance their daily life since they spend less money on transportation to go to the office, or having time to take care of themselves. However, this way of working reduces the interaction between the workers, bringing numerous impacts on the company. People will have difficulties in collaboration work and they will lack creativity by exchanging opinions with their partners. For instance, because of the covid 19 pandemic, the majority of people need to do their jobs at home and this caused the habit of working online, which still continues these days, making workers have less chances to communicate with each other. But these issues can be addressed by a hybrid work plan, combining working at home with doing jobs in the company so that everyone can go to the office or not if they like.

On the other hand, as employers  do their tasks at home, the company can earn more salaries. Additionally, due to the cutting  cost of their office footprint by transferring the square footage they pay for in town and city centres to the homes of their staff. The total office space which companies use is reduced. Of course, the office will enjoy enormous cost savings, regarding rents, building maintenance and especially business rates, by moving commercial premises to residential settings. Another noteworthy point is that working at home with digital appliances can help employers manage their work effectively by transferring information and interchanging with distant partners on online platforms, bringing a variety of advantages for employers.

In conclusion, logical as it may seem so assert that employees are the only ones who benefit from working online because the outcomes working at home brings to them outweigh the profits workers gain from it.
