Many people dislike waking up early in the morning.

Hi

Would you say that the use of waking up is OK here?

Many people dislike waking up early in the morning.

Shouldn't it be "getting up"? I read the above sentence in an Indian magazine.

Thanks,

Tom

Both are OK. 'Getting' may be more prevalent, but it is all in how people view the morning. I myself don't mind getting up; it is the waking that is horrid.
