Essay & Composition Writing

Many people buy products that they do not really need and replace old products with new ones unnecessarily. Why do people buy things they do not need? Do you think this is a good thing?

The consumerist society has argued people to purchase goods that have little to use and supplant outdated items with new ones excessively . This essay will examine some reasons behind this phenomenon. There are two main reasons behind this trend. From my perspective, disposable culture has positive effects on society and environment .

There are two main reasons why people make purchases of unessential items and the replacement of old items by new ones . Firstly, they desire to become outstanding and more attractive . This is because purchasing the latest goods that are useless makes them a sense of superiority . For instance, a lot of people make much effort into owing a iPhone 14 pro max that is the latest technological device so as to satisfy themselves and grab people's attention. Secondly, Advertising fuels demand for new products, leading people to constantly seek out the latest product. In fact, there are various commercials on TV focus on people's desire, which results in misinterpreting its usefulness.

Some people believe that the effects of disposable culture are detrimental . When they buying the latest products, their old items can be thrown away , which creates a lot of waste .Consequently, it gives rise to environmental pollution. However ,environmental pollution is not only caused by waste, but also many other factors such as use of means of transport and production . Moreover, this behavior can create a lot of value for society. If one has a demand to purchase a lot of goods, companies will make big profits and therefore they can extract a part of the benefits to contribute to a country such as the construction of bridges, roads or organizing free English teaching programs for young children.

In conclusion, an excessive number of misleading advertisements and a sense of superiority are the main drives behind this phenomenon. In my opinion, this trend positively affects the society and the environment.
