Many people believe that scientific research should be carried out and controlled by governments rather than private companies. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In our society, there is more significant research carried out by both private and government. While some people claim that scientific researches conducted by private business are more beneficial, other have the opposite opinion. From my point of view, carrying out scientific research at private companies is more advantageous

On the one hand, the productions of private companies are of higher quality. Because they are more specialized and focused on just scientific research, they will invest in sources that include modern equipment, available scientists, and laboratories. For example, during the Covid-19 period, some owner businesses such as Pfizer or AstraZeneca have created Covid vaccines whose name is its company. In contrast to the government, their main work is running the country on different aspects such as economy, education, and agriculture. As a result, they do not concern much about scientific research.

On the other hand, there are some downsides that owner companies conducted research. First of all, without government control, some companies are not allowed to produce weapons which have a bad effect on social order. Moreover, some businesses carry out illegal research to make their own profit posing a serious threat to society.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that if research is carried out by private companies, the quality of production is higher more privately thanks to the competition that drives innovation. In the near future, it can be predicted that the scientific community will be able to welcome more scientific breakthroughs coming from the dedication and devotion of owner businesses.
