Essay & Composition Writing

Many people believe that it is important to always tell the truth. In your opinion, is it ever acceptable to tell a lie?

In my point of view, always telling a truth does not sound great for people and yourself. Because sometimes in your life journey or in some situations, you will need a sweet lie rather than a bitter truth. Therefore, it is not difficult to accept a lie. Here are some of my opinions.

First of all, humans who have a rectitude in their character mostly tell the truth, which sometimes leads to some little problems and spread into many more huge issues in both social and personal life. One of which is that they may hurt others by their straightforward words, especially some who are extremely sensitive and negative. It is not comfortable to make someone who has been really depressed feel even more despaired, the worst thing is that they will not have the ability to get over. Furthermore, telling the truth will bring to people an uneasy feeling, for example when you meet a girl that is really obese and you give her a true comment about her body, you have killed inside someone by just your honest words.

Second, there are some situations in life that are not easy to talk too detailed about them, for they may leave some consequences. For example, doctors or nurses often make patients' family less worried by telling a lie which is informing to them good news about the patients' status. Or it is more difficult to tell a bitter truth when you are in love and going to say goodbye to your partner, you will have to be more careful in your verbal saying; and if you talk about it too truly, your partner may fall into a depression.

In conclusion, it is can be denied that a truth is really important, but too many truths do not bring to a good result. Sometimes, we need to replace it by a lie, but just when really needed. Therefore, telling a lie can be accepted.
