Children development is considered one of the most essential issues. While many a parent supposes that students should allocate free time for their family, I take the view that youngsters are recommended to gain advantages from participating in extra curricular activities or supplementary classes.
On the one hand, that children spend time with their family when they are not at school can bring several benifits. Firstly, it gives the family members a chance to gather together. Because they have their own schedules, time for family is seemingly priceless. Therefore, after a stressful day of working, people want to return home where they can share their personal problems with others. Secondly, students can allocate their leisure time after school to help their parents with the housework. By doing some simple chores such as washing the dishes or sweeping the floor, they can become considerate offsprings whose parents would be proud of.
On the other hand, what makes the latter view standout is that youngters may broaden their network and knowledge. In the contemporary day, a number of students have a tendency to join in a few clubs as a mean of entertainment bacause members in the same club usually share things in common. For instance, people prefering to sing are likely to take part in a music curricular activity. An additional plus point is that normal time at school is probably not enough for students to capture all of the lesson. Therefore, taking extra classes is regarded as a way to review and complement what they have studied. Take Vietnamese children as a typical example, most of them participate in several supplementary courses apart from usual hours at school despite of the costly tuition.
In conclusion, although the idea that children is suggested that they should allocate their leisure time for their family gain several advantages, I still strongly support the view that it is neccessary for youngsters to join in extra clubs or classes.
