many more apples / much more apples

1. I have many more apples.
2. I have much more apples.

3. There are many more intelligent girls.
4. There are much more intelligent girls.

I think only 1 & 3 are grammatical.

#4 is possible in the sense of 'there are girls who are much more intelligent'

Even in that sense, #2 is not possible. though "I have much more delicious apples" is.
