“ Many experts have called the 21st century is the century of Globalization. However, the rising waves of populism and anti-Globalization in a variety of countries worldwide seemed to contrast those speculations. In your opinion, will those waves...

Please read and give me some comments as well as the band score.

Recently no issue has drawn as much attention as the heated debate surrounding the waves of populism and anti-globalisation in some nations all over the world. Some people advocate that this growing waves will influence international security. From my point of view, I strongly agree with this opinion for two reasons herein.

First of all, sweeping populism may pose severe risks to the world economic. That is to say, anti-globalisation will break the free trade, which is the main purpose of globalisation. It is evident that globalisation has many benefits on the world economy, lifting a billion of people out of poverty in developing world and also enhance the living qualities in developed nations. This will definitely extend the distance between the developed and developing countries, and may lead to the inconsistence of security, especially in the developing world. By way of illustration, the win of Donald Trump in the US election will put America out of TTP agreement, which may drive East Asia nations into dificulties. Some nations such as Philipines is witnessing an inconsistence security. Consider the fact that positive economic leads to consistent politic, the disadvantage of populism is quite apparent, especially in the developing world.

However, the strongest argument against sweeping populism is the fact that the growth of populism will decrease the international bond between countries. In another world, anti-globalisation will reduce the international group and associations and put each country far from others. Let take Brexit as an example. The withdrawal of UK from EU pose a risk on the existence and growth of EU. This is due to the fact that Brexit perhaps makes a domino effect on another nations. Therefore, polulism will weaken the nation relationship around the world.

Another drawback that should not be overlooked is the growth of withdrawal in some free-land such as Hong Kong, … This is also the serious issue caused by globalism. The inconsistent politic and weak international bond will give rise to this negative trend that influence both the national and international security.

Taking everything into account, I’m convinced that populism is not a negative trend, but sweeping populism and anti-globalisation may bring about many complicated issue that the world cannot answer.
