Hi! everyone. Could you tell me whether I interpreted this stanza from the poem "Lights Out" by Edward Thomas correctly? If I didn't? Could you tell me what "Many a road" signify?
Many a road track That, since the dawn's first crack, Up to the forest brink, Deceived the travelers, Suddenly now blurs, And in they sink.
-:I think it means we as travelers go along different paths and roads and follow complex paths in the day time but at the end of the day we are deceived by all these different paths to move along a same path that leads to the border of sleep(I mean we all(travelers) are tempted(by sleep) to converge at the same point that is, at the border of forest(i:e sleep). Thanks!
