Manner / way

What is the difference between "way" and "manner" in the sentences listed below?

"You have written the essay in such a funny manner." or "You have written the essay in such a funny way."

Are both correct? Are they interchangeable without any change in meaning?

Thanks a lot.

Marold Are both correct? The grammar is OK; the meaning is ambiguous because the adverbs are malformed. I presume that this is what you mean: You have written such a funny essay .

You have written such a funny essay.

Or do you mean Your essay is so humorously or strangely composed. (E.g. conclusion comes first, it is written in doggerel, etc.)
