I have to use a specific quiz in one of the textbooks for my lesson. One of the words there is mankind (as in what what Neil Armstrong doing when he said.....................etc). Other than showing them a picture to put into context the meaning (which then gives the answer) I am stuck for ideas. The group is low intermediate level so I can't elicit the word from them. Humanity is the synonyms I thought of but doubt they would know that either.
Any ideas?
