Hello,
I don't understand the usage of "manage to" and it's meaning in different contexts. Please answer my questions below so I can understand.

Question 1: What is the difference between the sentences below?

1. I can't do that.

2. I can't manage to do that.


Question 2: What is the difference between these?


1. She thanked him.

2. She managed to thank him.
