Today, TV channel provide men’s sport show more than women’s sport shows. Why? Should TV channel give equal time for women’s sport and men’s sport?
It is true that male sporting programs are given more priorities on TV females ones concerning the length of time they are shown because of some purposes. My own view on this matter is that it is right for people to increase the time for women sporting shows as equally as men ones.
Without any doubt, the majority of humans feel that males tend to play sports more fascinatingly and attractively which leads to this problem. We can perceive the unabated energy from them which females are overshadowed when participating in a match. And, of course, this factor makes us partial towards men’s sports rather than women. For instance, when we watch a football game, male players often use their utmost strength to score. Sometimes, they even risk tricking the opponents and fighting which makes the match more exciting. Meanwhile, we can hardly see females do the same thing which brings us so much boredom.
However lame sports show for women are, TV channels should give equal attention to them. First of all, women’s sport has been becoming more and more popular in recent years. Hence, were broadcasts not to provide more time for females’ sports, viewers would have difficulty in updating schedules of matches and news about their health which would be extremely unfair. Second of all, this way also helps women with their rights. As people have the tendency to invite male sportspeople to TV shows which contributes to men’s rights, it has been so hard for women to fight for themselves. Therefore, giving the equal time for two kinds of sports will make woman feel that they are treated and respected like man.
To summarize, this trouble is due to the way men play sports which is more absorbing. Nevertheless, programs relating to women’s sports are worthwhile to be brought the same amount of broadcasting time as men’s ones.
