Man imprisoned for..

I am having problem in understanding that sentence in bold. Could anyone please parse that for better understanding? Is it grammatical and natural using "after" more than once?

That is a headline, in headline style. It often takes a certain nimbleness of mind to read them. (A) man (who had been) imprisoned for 28 years (as a consequence of) a woman ('s having) dreamed that he raped her (is) to be freed (now that) another man (has confessed).
