Man as mankind

Hi,

1. God liberates man from ignorance.
2. God liberates Man from ignorance.

I think #1 & #2 are both correct, right?

3. Man has been always masters of innovations since time immemorial.
4. Man have been always masters of innovations since time immemorial.

#3 & #4 which is the correct one?

I would not capitalize "man," unless it begins the sentence. Man has always been master of etc. Men have always been masters of etc.

If I am not mistaken, when "man" means "human race" it is always in singular form and without an article before it.

What you say is true, but if you wish to use "masters" in the plural, you need to compromise a bit.
"Men" is often used to mean "all men."
