malicious

Is the phrase "malicious illess" possible?

I'm asking because I had two options to choose in "____- illness which deprived someone of sight...." and I had

[1] severe

[2] malicious

Is [2] possible?

Thanks

Dear Maverick88, It is possible to say «a malicious illness». It is however an example of personification. It is therefore fanciful.
