I know this forum is not for questions on pronunciations, but I decided to put mine up here because it is most read.

Here goes:

How do you read "Maldives"? Do you read it as /daivz/ or /di:vz/? I mean, how is it pronounced in your area?

Anybody from the Maldives or the vicinities on this website?
