Malady

Hi everyone,

I'm curious about the use of the word 'malady'. Is it considered outdated or do you still use it from time to time?

For instance: "I have joint paint, I get twinges of pain in my back quite often, my thighs are sore every time I go for a run and a cold creeps up on me at least twice a month. I suffer from so many maladies."

Could the last sentence be used or does it sound weird to you?

Thank you so much!
