Making them attached?

Hi! everyone.
Could you rephrase the coloured line? I could not understand what they are attaching to their classes and what does it mean?
Context-The feudal class has been ruling the country through parliamnet and has been crushing the population except the industrial lords , rich merchants , powerful civil servants and military commanders who themselves have ethnic outlooks making them attached to their classes.
Thanks!

silak12 except the industrial lords , rich merchants , powerful civil servants and military commanders who themselves have ethnic outlooks making them attached to their classes. The meaning is not exactly clear to me. The author seems to be talking about several different classes.

Avangi, suggesting that each of them comprises a special class, to which they are bound by their "outlooks."
So, is "a special class" here mean the particular ethnic group to which each of these powerful people belong and to which their ethnic outlooks bind them.

That is the way I take it,
but it doesn't make sense to me that "industrial lords, rich merchants, powerful civil servants and military commanders" would belong to separate ethnic groups, or would
