Making rolls of thread

We spin threads from cotton with a spinning wheel, and then make a roll out of this thread.

1. Can we say he is making a roll out of the threads x has spun?

2. Can we say: their training session also includes making strips of thread and making rolls out of these threads?

3. What does “tease” mean in the following sentence: “Aurea stroked the fleece between the spikes on the carders and teased the threads into a roll before handing them to Julia whose fingers quickly spun them into a fine thread.”

Thanks.

1. yes this is fine if roll is the right word.

Can I use the word "tease" in the above meaning in "ing" form? For instance, "she is teasing the threads."

If you allow me, another question I would like to ask is, what do you
