making friendly suggestion

What is the difference in tones among the following ways of bringing up suggestions or opinions? Can anyone make some examples of bringing up suggestions in a polite way and in a rude way? I would like to see the contrast?

Why dont you try to do the thing in this way?

It would be better to do it this way.

You would better do it this way.
