Making a recommendation letter Gender neutral

I have known and worked with [NAME] for last 2 years and I am very pleased with his/her services. During the scope of the project, [NAME] demonstrated a good work ethic and successfully completed the project within the agreed upon duration. I can also happily report that his/her work not only met my expectations, it exceeded them.

I have no reservations giving [NAME] my highest recommendation. I am very confident that you cannot go wrong by hiring him/her.

I use this letter as a base to write out recommendations. But there's too many of the "his/her" in it. Can they be replaced by something else that can be used to refer to either gender?
