Psychology is a scientific discipline that is to do with the human mind. The rationale of the essay is to argue why psychology may not be regarded as a scientific discipline. This essay addresses this rationale in two parts. The first part explains what psychology is by reference to the wider literature. The second part critically assesses for and against arguments from this literature in relation to the rationale outlined above.
