Song Writing & Lyrics

Make you feel my love by Adele

Could I three questions about the song " Make you feel my love" please?

1) What does "the whole world is on your case" mean?

2) What does "You ain't seen nothing like me yet" mean? Does it mean "You haven't seen anything like me yet?" That is it means that "You haven't seen the real me"?
3) What is this verse below trying to express?

The storms are raging on the rolling sea
And on the highway of regret
Though winds of change are blowing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing like me yet

Thank you so much.

Its lyrics:

When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love

When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no - one there to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

I know you haven't made your mind up yet
But I would never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong

I'd go hungry I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawling down the avenue
No, there's nothing that I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love

The storms are raging on the rolling sea
And on the highway of regret
Though winds of change are blowing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing like me yet

I could make you happy make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love, To make you feel my love

for question 1: When you say "someone is on my case" you are saying that "someone is meddling with my affairs". So in this case, "the whole world is on your case" means "the whole world is looking at you, judging you, and meddling with your everyday life". For question 2: "You ain't seen nothing like me yet" is saying that "there is nothing in this world that is like me (not anyone or anything)".

  • For question 3: Okay, so this verse can be interpreted in many ways but to me, it means that: - although the times are tough - and there are a lot of regrets - and there are also a lot of changes - you haven't seen anyone or anything in this world that is like me (meaning, I am unique and special so you don't want to miss your chance in being with me) Hope this helps, Lyn
