You can use either appendices and indices or appendixes and indexes. It depends on the type of writing you're doing which one is more appropriate.

Hole and whole sound exactly alike. (It's one of the reasons I often misspell the word "holistic" as "wholistic" -- I'm saying it in my head and thinking of "the whole thing" while I do.)

What's the correct tense of the verb used in narrating a story, something happend in the past..
Coz whenever i read stories narrating about somthing occured in the past, they always use the present form of the verb.

Another thing that causes my curiosity, my friend who grew up in Los Angeles but he is a Filipino, asked me " IF YOU WERE TO SAY I LOVE YOU SO, WHO WOULD IT BE TO" is that grammatically correct? so vague to me... cudn't understand what he was driving at..
