alc24 can someone tell me if you can say I was so lucky on my way home, i made all the lights (as in i didn't stop at one streetlight to get home) All the lights I came to were green. I was unlucky, i got a couple of lights (as in i had to stop at lights) I hit a couple of lights (that were red). can you also say I had to turn sharply or I had to make a sharp turn (little more natural, I think) I accelerated in a bend /turn instead of decelerating during a turn rather than decelerating in a bend, I accelerated/i accelerated rather than decelerat ed in a bend decelerating thank you I hope these are clear.

I is always capitalized!

I was lucky on my way home. I made all the lights.
I was delayed. I had to stop at a few lights. (got doesn't work for me.)

I had to turn sharply.
I accelerated through a turn instead of slowing down.

Hi,

streetlight traffic light, or often just 'light where the context makes the meaning clear.
