make sure that

Hi everyone

Which is better or correct?

1, We have to make sure that everything is ready for the meeting by 9 o'clock.

2, We have to make sure that everything will be ready for the meeting by 9 o'clock.

I think #1 is better.

Thanks

What you have after that is a subordinate.
Time simplification (Swan) is preferred in it:
future -> present
Thus 1, IMO.

Thank you Paulio

The reason, I think, is that #1 could be used for the present and the future, #2 is only for the future. 'Everything' could be ready right now, so #1 is right, isn't it?

Thank you Marius

I naturally thought #1 is better without consideration. Afterwords, I think twice too much. Your explanation simplified my thought.

Thanks again

Afterwards, towards. I believe it is a typo.
