Make of the what you will

"I do some work in Cardiac Catheterisation Labs from time to time. Last time I was in one, of the 9 people in the Lab, including the patient who was English, everyone else was not. Make of the what you will…"

[From the Twitter's post.]

Is "the" the object of the preposition "of" and "what you will" a subordinate clause and complement of the verb phrase "Make of the" in Make of the what you will…?

Should "that" be instead of "the" in Make of the what you will…?
