Make + object + participle-phrase??

UDP : User Datagram Protocol ?You can regard it as the like of "TCP" of "TCP/IP."

A number of UDP's attributes make it especially suited for certain applications.

I'd like to know make can take a participle-phrase as an objective-complement like "have/ get."

ex) Can you really get that old car going again?
We're having our car repaired.

Thank you in advance for your help.
