I happened one Sunday to be in a church that uses an ultra modern translation of the scriptures in the services (Word, I think). I was rather shocked to hear "make my day" during the reading of the Gospel, so when I returned home, I looked up the scripture in my old-fashioned King James version: "complete my joy".
