Make it So ....

Just curious. What would you mean by the following?

Let's just make it so we meet in front of the bookstore at 3:00 pm.
Best,

Hiro

I would say just what you suggest, Marius, but what is the subtlety of "Let's just make it so that ..."?

"Let's make sure that this happens - at this location and at this time."

... Oh sorry, I'm starting to think it could be more subtle than that... Because of the word "just", that could change 'the feeling' of the sentence quite a bit...

I'd say, more accurately it means: "Whatever else happens, let's at least make sure that we meet at this location and this time."

Hi,

Let's just make it so we meet in front of the bookstore at 3:00 pm.

There are various possible interpretations of the subtleties here.

For example, if this sentence came at the end of a long and indecisive converstion, it could show impatience or exasperation on the part of the speaker.

eg We have to make a decision, so let's mak
