To,International Consumer Rights Protection CouncilDear SirMy Cell phone Nokia 6600 has been stoletn in Delhi at Adarsh Nagar on 13th Januray 2005. I had insured the phone so I applied for the insurance cover for the same.Theydemanded  FIR. I went to Police Station but I received NCR that too aginst lost case though I told them that it was the case of theft. Anyways, I applied for the insurance and it got declined as they need FIR mentioning theft.Now, the police is not ready to give me the FIR and insurance company is not reissuing my case saying that they need FIR.I've attached here draft of Rs 200/- as your membership charges and all the related documents.Kindly help me  in this matter.Thanking you

This is a free service after all, and we are under no obligation to help you at all if we do not wish to, and your attitude did make me think twice about whether to help you or not. Also, it is polite to say 'Please' or 'Thank you' when you are requesting our help rather than just issue a demand to 'Make it Effective'. You are welcome on our forum but you will get faster and better responses if you are polite to those who are giving up their time to assist you.

You might want to put in the full name of FIR and NCR.

Dear Sir or Madam (you don't know it will be a man).

My Cell phone, a Nokia 6600, was stolen in Delhi at Adarsh Nagar on 13th Januray 2005. I had insured the phone so I made a claim under the insurance. They demanded FIR. I went to the Police Station but I was given an NCR that mentioned only loss, although I did say it was the case of theft. Anyways, I applied for the insurance but my claim was declined as they need the FIR mentioning theft.

The police will not issue an FIR but I cannot claim without it, and I would appreciate your assistance in this matter.

I've attached here draft of Rs 200/- as your membership charges and all the related documents.
