I think the writer is commenting on the name "Perry Link." It is good for a blogger, perhaps because it is short and easy to remember.

Maybe it's a little joke, because the man's name is Link and blogs often include links.Emotion: smile

I still can't understand the meaning of the sentence. Is there any connections between contexts?

Your answer reminds me a interesting term in Chinese which named 'laughing point' though I still feel confused about this sentence. You said that it's a little joke, but how does it make you laugh? Or the reason why you laugh is what I have said—'laughing point'. And could you use another word to substitue the 'laughing point'?

I know these two words. I'm just confused about the ‘long life’. Now, I consider it as a adjective phrase to describe the man's catchy name .
