Make changes for the time

Are these sentences correct:

1) We will make changes for the time John is away.
2) We will make changes until John comes back.
3) We will make changes while John is away.

Do they mean:
a) We will be making changes during the period in which John is away and the changes will last only until he comes back. or:
b) We will be making changes during the period in which John is away and the changes might last after he comes back.
or:
c) We will make changes all at once when John leaves and the changes will last only until he comes back.
or:
d) We will make changes all at once when John leaves and the changes might last after he comes back.
