Make as causative

Hello.
I wonder if it's possible to use the verb make, meaning make someone to do something, as you do with get-have-want:

He made his shoes repaired.
He made the car fixed.

Hi, Latin! I don't think it's possible with a thing as object. You'll have to say: "he HAD his shoes repaired" "He HAD the car fixed" On the other hand, you can say: "He MADE John fix the car", meaning "he obliged John to fix the car".

I can say: "I had my wife prepare lunch"
But I cannot say: "I made my wife prepare lunch" Emotion: crying

What's the nuance, paco? Or is it a grammar joke?Emotion: smile

I'll make a guess:
1. means you somehow enticed your wife to...
2. means you very much obliged her to... (maybe a rifle?)

Latin

Yes Pianne is right.

X ordered Y (with physical force or authoritative power ) to do it.
So Y did it against Y's own will.

X asked Y (with some compensation:money or something alike) to do so.
Y was satisfied with the compensation and did it.

In modern societies, it's almost impossibel a man can make a woman

The causative make is a little different. You have to say the following:

Subject + make + object + verb

He made his employee repair his shoes.

have/get doesn't take a direct object. It is intransitive.

He had his shoes repaired (by a repairman).
