Hi,
“He made an entry on his expense report that favoured him.”
Does it mean that someone who was on a business trip changed the numbers on his expense report to squeeze more money out of the company he works for?
I’ve never heard ‘make an entry on’ before so I’m a bit confused.
2) “I let him stay on the condition that he never lie to me.” I came across a similar sentence in a book and I was a bit surprised. Shouldn’t it be ‘on the condition that he never lies to me’?
Thank you.
