"make an arrangement" and "make arrangements"

I think there is some difference between "make an arrangement" and "make arrangements" and if you do not mind, could you tell me when you use the one or the other? Thank you so much as usual in advance.

No, these are incorrect. The object of a verb (arrangement is no exception) does not determine the conjugation of the verb; the subject does.

"The school makes an arrangement with local businesses." ( Agreement )

"His family are making arrangements for his funeral." ( Plan )
