Make a payment

Hi,

I heard a few people use this phrase without the indefinite article and I was wondering if it’s acceptable as well.

If I wanted to ask someone if they had time to settle an invoice, I’d probably say:”I was wondering if you have a minute to make the payment.” (or simply ‘pay’ but that’s not my question)

Thank you.
