Grammar

make a decision

should I necessarily use preposition after the collocation "make a decision" if I'm supposed to use noun or gerund following it. for instance

"You have to make a decision a car you want to buy"
" I need to make a decision a place to travel "
or..
"make a decision on a car"
"make a decision on a place to travel" ?

thanks to all the replies in advance
