Majority, jury, approved, honorable, etc...

Hello,
I must translate a web site to English but I can't find a good translation for 2 tags. The site is about images being submitted to a jury of 20 artists who approve or rejects images.

The first tag identifies images approved by more than 50% of the jury members. Here is what I could come up with:
Images tagged with the "Jury Pick" icon have been approved by the majority of the jury members.
Is this ok and understandable?

The second tag identifies images that received slightly less than 50% votes. Here is what I could come up with:
Although they were not approved by the majority of the jury, images tagged with the "Honorable" icon received a significant numbers of positive vote.
I'm not sure this is ok. I would like to mean that it did not break the 50% barrier but was very close.

What do you think about these 2 sentences? How could I correct and improve them?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Raph

Generally, I think the messages are good. I spotted a couple of typos: the second should read "... a significant number of positive votes ".

  • My other quibble is with "images tagged with the 'Honorable' icon".
  • This sounds to me as if the images themselves are "honorable", which I don't think is quite what you mean.
