Majority: can this be an adjective?

Three of my go-to online dictionaries don't list 'majority' as an adjective, but here is a good example of its use:

This remote outrider of the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir is also one of the few ares of India where Buddhism is the majority religion.

Can anyone tell me a dictionary that does list 'majority 'as an adjective?

Thanks

When a noun is used adjectively it probably won't be listed as such in the dictionary, but that does not mean that you cannot use it as such. I doubt that you will find shoe or sun listed as adjectives either, but we have shoe stores and sun spots nevertheless.

Thank you. (Your explanation by way of example highlights my lack of thought when asking the question).

The technical answer is "No, but it can be a modifier even though it's a noun".
