Maintain this information in you memory [explanation for remember?]

Hi teachers,
Would 'maintain this information in your memory' be an appropriate definition for 'remember' in the following context?
Information: Mr. White is the owner of the bookstore.
Context:
Mrs. Elsie: Mr. White, has my book of A History of Germany come in yet? Because I've been waiting for my book for two weeks and Peter, your bookseller, told me maximum in a week. Do you remember, (maintain this information in your memory) Peter?
Peter: Yes, I do madam.

Thanks in advance.

It's OK, but I'd just go with a dictionary definition. com/dictionary/remember Mrs. Elsie: Mr.

Hi Clive,
Thanks for your reply and corrections.
Yes, you are right! it is much better to use the pronoun 'it'. What if it is written like that just for emphasis. Could it be possible?

Yes. But before getting into that., I'd make sure my class had a good understanding of pronoun usage.

Hi Clive,
Thanks for the advice. Yes, they do have a good understanding of pronoun usage. I wrote that part in that way just because the customer is quite angry an she just wants to reinforce her words about her book.
