Mainly on the conditionals?

Hi. Please help me with these. Would you say nos. 1 and 2 are correct conditionals?

1. I think this is what might appear in a puzzle as part of its instructions (not sure, though).

Possible question: Would you give him some change?

If your answer was "yes" to the above question, you will go to step 2.

2. Would you give him some change? If you would, I will be happy.

3. I don't know whether I should use the present or past tense after the phrase "as if" in this type of sentential situation. Please help.

He should act as if he were/is poor.

He should act as if he had/have the capacity to help.

How about this? Do you think it is correct with the present tense after the phrase "as if"? I think replacing the present tense "are" with the past tense "were" is incorrect.

You look as if you are very happy.

Anonymous If your answer was "yes" to the above question, you will go to step 2. This is possible, but as an instruction the imperative would normally be used. If your answer was "yes", go to step 2.
